Understanding images from Vishesh Verma
Lux, TBZ, Shopper’s Stop, Espirit, Garden sarees…explicitly these brands have nothing in common. But there is a string that holds all these and many more such brands together…the string that is developed on the basis of how we perceive or look at these brands. And, the string is the man behind the lens capturing these brands in its various exotic campaign is Vishesh Verma.
Vishesh Verma, a National Institute of Design student, whose first stint at photography was an inspiration of Robert Frank and Diane Arbus, is one of the most sought after fashion photographers of the era. Be it jewellery, apparels, designers or consumer goods…his lenses glamorizes all!!
Fashion photography because…
His love for images & design was primary, and Fashion gave him the ground where these two can come together very beautifully.

Fashion in India…
Fashion in India is always an interesting journey, as the path is strewn with culture, heritage and ethnicity…in Vishesh’s words, “India has a history and culture rich in visual imagery and the celebration of beautiful things (or non-things, like music)…I always strive to feel the pulse of modern India and translate it into my work.”
The fashion industry has seen tremendous growth in India in the past few years…and the experiences & acceptances has lead to its growth. “Today a designer or photographer knows where to go to show his/her work and that’s a big support system. The most important development has been the strong arrival of agencies and PR firms,” says Vishesh.

· A moment you prize the most in your career– The newsstand every month with magazines bursting over with beautiful 
images, mine and others’. I really love Magazines! How they marry art into popular culture.
